Ok, first off, I just have to say that I have this killer sinus headache that is making my right eye throb and my teeth ache. Like, just got your braces tightened kinda ache. Anyone remember that pain from adolescence?
Anyhoo. So, I'm trying to sleep the other night (not tonight though cuz insomnia has once again made me its bitch) and my cats decided they both want to sleep with me. Usually that's no problem, Meadow sleeps by my feet, Dakota sleeps by my head and everyone is happy. Well this night they both decided they wanted to sleep on my head. And before I could shoo them away so I could breathe a
And, since I'm on the subject of cats (Again, I know. Pretty soon people are going to start calling me the Crazy Cat Lady) why is it that both my cats love to eat my headphones? And I buy the expensive, Skullcandy headphones. At about $20 a pop that's a bit too expensive to be a chew toy.
I <3 my iPod Video. There's almost 3,000 songs and over 50 videos on it and there's still something like 50 GB of storage left. When I die I want to be buried with it. If I'm not made into a diamond, that is. Stick the earbuds in my ears, set it to repeat on my Godsmack playlist, crank it up, and drop me in the ground. I wanna rock my way into the next life and I'm takin' Sully with me.
I've always identified with and been attracted to the freaks, rebels, and misfits. Probably cuz I'm all of the above. Normalcy (Normality? Whatever.) is so mind-numbingly boring. I really don't know how normal people get through the day without bludgeoning themselves to death with a sledgehammer. Seriously. Granted, defining 'normal' is a tricky proposition and it means something different to everyone, but... I forgot my point. Damn. Well, if it comes back to me I'll let you know.
So my besty has a son who just turned 5. A year (or 2?) ago he was listening to his Dad's MP3 player, rockin' out to Rob Zombie. Then, all of a sudden he started crying and threw the player across the room. My besty listened to it and found out what upset him so. It was playing country. LMFAO
Ok, my right nostril just went numb. That's how bad this headache is. Damn.
An old friend of mine just sent me a friend request on Facebook! Sweet!! It's funny cuz we were really close for years and hung out all the time cuz we lived in the same apartment building, and then we drifted apart but years later our parents ended up moving into the same townhouse complex and now they live across the street from each other. I ran into her there once but we only chatted for a few minutes. I'm so glad she sent me that request!
And, last but not least, I used a few of my precious dollars and bought some vids on iTunes. I bought me some White Zombie, Powerman 5000, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day and Static-X. I'm a happy camper!
K, I'm outta here!
Laters!

What is it with cats wanting to sleep on our heads! LOL
ReplyDeleteYou're a delight to read, hugs for your head ache (and numb nostril) x
LOL, you sure are entertaining this morning, despite the headache. I cracked up at the pictures, the normals with sledgehammers and the country-afflicted tot.
ReplyDeleteGah!!! I remember that brace pain! Brought me right back to when I was teenager...
ReplyDeleteWhiskers would LOVE to sleep on my head, but the bastard is 22 pounds and I think he would smufficate me. He has to settle on my feet instead. 'Boobles prefers it on my belly, where it's warm and squishy...kinda like a blubbery waterbed. That's okay. She is only 9 pounds. MUCH lighter...ROFL!!
hahaha threw it across the room for country is quite funny
ReplyDeleteAlthough not fun if it cost money
Yes cats are friggin weird I will agree
A scracth or 50 they gave me
Mine even jumped on a certain part once or twice
That didn't feel at all nice
Yeah screw normal I say
Rather be all weird, rhyme and play
Braces sucked--what was worse was the head gear I had to wear for about a year before the braces went on. I have relatively straight teeth now, but the four years I was in those braces left a lasting impression--no pun intended.
ReplyDeleteCats are crazy. Our tends to dive bomb us from the window sill above the bed. Now that is a wake up call.
i have a similar response to most country music...smiles. sorry about the headache, maybe removing the c clamp would help...sledgehammer...that was a song right?
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to wonder if the cats sleeping on your head might have something to do with your headaches. ;) Hope they let up soon!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I hope your headache feels better and you get some rest soon!
ReplyDeleteAnd that is TOO funny about the kid and the country! :)
I have been having sinus issues too; I took Aleve cold and sinus and it seems to do the trick.
ReplyDeleteAin't nothin' wrong with country. I used to always say I'd listen to anything BUT country but I have come to appreciate it in a way.
I don't know how normal people get through the day without ME bludgeoning them with a hammer.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of sinus stuff going around! I hope you feel better soon! You have lot of songs on that ipod. I haven't even formatted mine much less downloaded a song.
ReplyDeleteI miss having a cat. they provide so much company.
ReplyDeleteHey, crazy cat lady! I don't know if you're aware of this, but I once almost auditioned for the part of a doctor on a soap opera so I'm totally qualified to give almost good medical advice. Which is this: if you're right nostril goes numb, but not your left one, then you need to snort the white powder up into your left nostril too. Problem solved.
ReplyDeleteAlso, normal is for schmoes. You rock!
Agh! My iPad freaking hosed me again with my comment to you! It forced the spelling change from your to you're without me noticing! And then didn't do it a second or third time. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteYou still rock, by the way!
Shew, I'm tellin ya...there must be a "hellacious sinus headache and insomnia" bug going around cause I'm also having trouble getting rid of either. Bah!
ReplyDeleteNormal? Ewwww! I'm convinced it's for sissies who don't realize that this is not reality, LOL Freaks, misfits and other independent thinkers have it going on.
Your friend's son sounds like my two year old, except he listens to everything, including his dad's bluegrass. What can I say, I like that he's so diverse with his interests (but he still likes metal best and jams out loudly to his air guitar regularly, along with his big brother - those'r my boys!)
Hope insomnia loosens its grip long enough for you to catch up some sleep and that your weekend rocks!
Deborah~ Thanks! It's much better now. :D
ReplyDeleteFireblossom~ LOL Thanks!
Kristine~ I know, wasn't it awful??
LOL that is one big cat! Far to big to be on your head. I used to have a cat that big. His name was Booger (I didn't name him) and he loved to lie in the bathroom sink. He totally filled it up. He also liked to play in water and would practically jump in the tub when I took a bath. LOL
Pat Hatt~ I imagine that didn't feel nice at all
I bet it made you call
out all kinds of nasty words.
Being normal is for the birds!
I much prefer my crazy ass
though some people might pass
and think I'm too insane to be fun
but that's ok I am just done
with pretending to be what I'm not
and anyone who doesn't like it can just rot!
VandyJ~ I remember head gear! And they are not fond memories at all! Being dive bombed by a cat in your sleep (or at other times) would be so annoying!
Brian Miller~ Me too! LOL I should have thought of that. hehe Sledgehammer? It sounds familiar, but I'm not sure.
blueviolet~ LOL that might be the case! Thanks!
Miss Angie~ Thanks!! I know, right? I thought that was hilarious. Hehehe
allstarme~ I'll try the Aleve, thanks. :D
I used to listen to some country but I just can't do it anymore.
Mama Zen~ I'm with ya MZ, I'm so with ya!!
Gina~ Thanks! I'm feeling better today. :D
I couldn't live life without my iPod. When the Zombie Apocalypse comes and I have to live without technology, I'm so going to die. If I don't get eaten by zombies first. :)
Brandy@YDK~ They really do. As crazy as they make me sometimes, I don't know what I'd do without my cats.
The Defiant Marshmallow~ LOL so that's what my problem is! I'll be sure to snort with both nostrils next time. Thank you, 'Dr.'! I hate autocorrect sometimes. hehehe
And thank you! You are pretty awesome too!
Ambrosia~ Oh, the insomnia is so kicking my ass. And my besty's too.
Normal is so overrated. I tried pretending to be normal once and almost had a stroke.
Your two year old sounds really awesome!
Thanks, you too!
