It's Been a Long Strange Trip and All That. Oh, and My Cat Keeps Sneezing.

My cat is sick. But that's neither here nor there.

OMFG I should be dipped in honey and tossed onto a fire anthill it's been so long since I've blogged and read other blogs. But really I have a fantabulous excuse. See, I was so totally depressed for the longest time and then I went up north to my parent's cabin with all kinds of family members and I was too busy to blog. My Mom and Dad were there along with my two Drunken Midgets, my eldest Drunken Midget's BF, my Grandma, my Uncle and his BF, and my bro, sis-in-law and nephews. There was much fun and hilarity and my last night there I laughed so much my whole body hurt. I haven't laughed so hard in over 5 years. There where campfires and dinners at Zorbas and all that. It was just awesome and I totally needed the break from my life which has totally been sucking rocks as of late.

And I just have to share that there was this one night where my nephews were playing with my Dad, who is known for getting kids totally riled up, and they had so much fun one of them actually threw up. So, apparently it's all fun and games until someone tosses their cookies.

Then I got home and there was a billion appointments cuz I had been gone and all that. Then, apparently my cardiologist wants me to have a cardiac MRI which involves me being forcibly stuffed into a little tube and I'm highly claustrophobic so I've been avoiding that like the plague. I'd rather be doused in gasoline and set on fire than do that. So yeah.

But I'm still alive, if not kicking. My youngest Drunken Midget is at her 'father's' all next week so I'm hoping to catch up on all my blog reading then.

I hope everyone in cyberspace is doing well and that life is totally awesome for all of you. I miss you all and I'll hopefully be reading all your blogs soon.

Mwah!!

Laters!

  1. I am glad you had a great vacation! It sounds like you totally needed it. I can't stand MRIs. Keep your eyes closed and listen to your favorite music. Also, try to think of anything else. It still totally sucks but that's what got me through it.

  3. Glad you had a great time and don't let too much time pass before you get the tests you need so you can decide on the best way for you to proceed! It's probably not half as bad as you imagine it to be!

  4. I'm so glad that you are alive and well! Woohoo! The cabin sounds like so much fun. And who cares if someone has so much fun that they throw up, as long as it's not you! Welcome back!

  5. Ok, well, you're still alive! I kept thinking about you since I subscribe to your blog, and I knew you weren't blogging and I was hoping you were either getting better or at least found a new lot of wild and wonderful friends who would be adoring you as much as I do! So glad you're back and happy, and so sorry about the MRI, but suck it girl! Get that heart checked out!

  7. I'm glad to hear you were able to get away and enjoy a change of scenery!

The MRI is certainly going to be annoying, but it's best to get it done and over with. Besides, it'll give you time for an uninterrupted Sully daydream, eh?...eh?

    Hope your cat gets better!

  8. The key to surviving the MRI is to keep your eyes closed. With eyes closed, you can be anywhere, just taking a nice rest. OK, a NOISY rest, but still...

  9. Glad you had a great time. We missed you, but you're back now. And hum while in the MRI. I don't know if it works (I've never had one) but that just popped in my head so I said it. We'll catch you this week.

Ok, so I admit it, I'm a comment whore. Comments are the reason I blog. Okay, that's not entirely true. I blog to let the insanity out so my head doesn't explode, cuz that would just be messy and inconvenient. But still, I adore comments and reply to each one, though sometimes it takes me a few days to get to it. So, if you're interested in reading my comment on your comment, check back later!
